Song Writing Camp
From October 17 to 20, the BIG UP! SONG WRITING CAMP, presented by the Murcia City Council and Son Buenos. A work meeting with creative people with musical and/or production knowledge who will participate in musical composition sessions. Participants will work in small teams to compose and produce original repertoire songs. The first edition will feature TEN authors, of which SEVEN are from Murcia, with FOUR of the participating producers.
Among the artists for whom repertoire will be worked will be Monica Mara, a big bet for Universal, former contestant on the Voice Kids and actress in several pieces on NETFLIX or Guzmen, one of the most relevant musical content creators in Spain, and Warner artist, and will feature the participation of Francisco Vicente Conesa, Lalo Ruiz Gómez Vizcaino, recently nominated for two Latin Grammys, Daniel Sabater, Sergio Nicolas from Trashi, Hoonine, Carlos Pherb, Samurai, etc..
DANIEL SABATER
Daniel Sabater was an accurate example of what has been called bedroom pop: an elegant, lo-fi and intimate genre that springs from the four most essential walls. In his case, romantic and soft intimacy in the forms, although a true pop savage always appears behind.
This Murcian who sings, composes and produces his own songs shone with a first EP when he left confinement behind, while he began to add gigs and great collaborations (Walls, Flavio, Maria Blaya, Sebastián Cortés...) In 2022 he released his first album, a delight with which he made his way as one of the strongest promises of national pop.
Currently, he is working on his new EP, which will be released at the end of the year and with which he intends to open himself in a passionate way and this is demonstrated with the first single 'Un Año de Shit in Madrid', a song of relief that serves as spearhead of his new project.
DAVID MARIN
Winner of the Big Up 2022 with his band limalimon, David (“Davisinho”) discovers his interest in the music industry. He founded the promoter Sourfest together with Javier Romero, José Lorente and Fran Vivo, with which they brought artists of the stature of Saiko or María Escarmiento to Murcia for the first time in their first months of activity. Following this, Sourfest creates its publishing label Sour Publishing, which will function as a subsidiary label of BMG until 2025, in turn opening booking and management services.
FRANVVI
Franvvi is an artist from Cartagena with a sensitivity for pop. This summer he has been presenting his first work “3 Noches Sin Dormir” at festivals such as Cooltural or Sonorama. As an author he has worked on sessions with other artists and authors such as David Otero, Bely Basarte, Juanjo Monserrat, J Cruz, Kike Conmas, Menend, Soge Culebra, Xeinn, Vyper, Dominos Saints, GetNico, Filipe Survival... among others.
GUZMEN
Guzmen, Vigo artist born in 2002. With a multifaceted gene, in love with music, he finds his own style influenced by the urban genre with a pop sound.
The originality and creativity that he emanates when performing makes him an artist with great projection at a national and international level.
Guzmen's powerful performances have led him to garner a large fan base on social networks such as TikTok where it has more than 700k followers; An example of the above is the interpretation of the song Altantis by Seafrit, which has surpassed the 20 million views in a few months.
HOONINE
LALO GV
Lalo GV (Aureliano Gómez-Vizcaíno Ruiz) is a Spanish producer and composer born on December 19, 1993 in Cartagena.
His path in the world of production began as an amateur in 2010 with metal groups, becoming professional in 2019 in pop and rock genres. Among his productions, the EP and the two albums by Arde Bogotá stand out, songs like Sol y Sal by Nunatak, and artists like Claim, Carmesí, Hoonine, María de Juan, Kitai or VAHO.
He was part of the band Ayoho (dissolved in 2021) and toured as a support guitarist with Arde Bogotá between 2021 and 2022.
In this last year, he has been a student at the Mix With The Masters seminar with Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo at the La Fabrique studios in France, and has recently received the nomination for two Latin Grammys for the song by Los Perros de Arde Bogotá as candidate for best rock song, and for his latest album Cowboys de la A3 as best rock album.
MONICA MARA
Mónica Mara, Born in Barcelona, 22 years old, has been singing, dancing and acting since she was 3 years old.
Many will remember it for having been one of David Bisbal's bets in the third edition of the children's musical contest “La Voz Kids”. That happened in 2017, when I was barely 16 years old.
Now, in her twenties, the young and versatile artist from Barcelona is fulfilling a new dream in her musical career with the help of Universal Music Spain.
Also known for her recent series UPA Next (2022) on Atresmedia, one of the protagonists of 'Once upon a time…. But not anymore', the series by Manolo Caro for the 'Netflix' platform and Cinemascomics: Interviews (2014).
NANO MZ
NANO Mz is a Pop/Urban artist born in A Coruña, at 24 years old he performs 2 tours in 2023 in venues and festivals throughout Spain, with a successful reception at all shows, he is now preparing his second studio album for 2024, working much more on his essence and his sound, after having experimented with different styles for several years. NICKY.O. (TRASHI)
Trashi is a band of Murcian origin formed by Sergio Nicolás, María Lázaro, Luz Abril and Luis Morera. Recognized by the press as one of the revelation bands of Spanish pop, their songs capture an intimate, simple and raw pop, which prefers to talk about everyday things, compared to the hyper connection and the obligation to stand out that sometimes seem to impose social networks.
Freshness, spontaneity and good vibes characterize trashi music, which is marked by an intense energy shared by band and audience.
SAMURAI
Samuraï stormed the music scene with echoes of the best of the 2000s in his first two EPs “CrushCrushCrush” and “Lo Bonito/ Lo Que No Te Cuentan” proclaiming himself as one of the most representative voices of his generation, and along with his nomination in The “Breakthrough Artist” category at LOS40 Music Awards'22 is already considered the new promise of pop. Their songs play with very metaphorical lyrics and a language typical of a new wave that avoids the obscene and embarks on love told with all emotional honesty.
This year he just released “Artillería”, his latest work in which he consolidates his sound, taking it to another more energetic and live-focused level, which he will present with his band in more than 30 festivals and cities.
