The Big Up! Congress is an event of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia, it will be held from October 3-6 at the Párraga Center, in the city of Murcia, with the aim of promoting a meeting of reflection and analysis of the music sector, as well as being a showcase of trends and proposals.

Since 2013, Big Up! Murcia Region It works to show respect for the profession of musician and the environment that surrounds it, within popular music, and aims to provide information, tools and keys to practice the profession of musician, create opportunities for talent development, give national visibility to emerging musical projects, promoting reflection and the meeting of different agents of the music industry.

Focused on reflecting on different topics, there will be panels aimed at musicians, professionals, those curious about the sector and the general public, which will address different impacts of music on society. 

One of its key objectives is the professionalization of the musician by focusing on the different parts that comprise a musical project: booking, live performance, promotion, management, publishing. From there, we will try to provide keys that help to understand how the music industry works and how it can be improved to be a competitive project at a national level. 

Participants will also be able to make personal appointments to present their musical projects to promoters, management offices and to ask questions to SGAE, through face-to-face speed meetings. Big Up! will soon announce possibilities and times to request applications.
